Natacia's First Photoshoot!

Mucus. Runny nose. Mucus. Runny nose....

First Nat fell ill on Thursday, then on Friday evening, the flu bug caught up with Mama Kimmy and Papa Will. The three of us, albeit with a runny nose, got up early in the morning feeling excited about the long awaited photoshoot. Props and clothes were packed and Mama and Papa dropped Nat at Grandma's house so that they could get Auntie Anne to style their hair.

Reached the studio promptly at 12pm and Mama got her makeup done. Nat had a great time with Papa and Photographer Uncle David. Oh, Papa was busy wiping his nose and Nat's nose. Uncle David had the flu too...

By the time Mama was ready, Nat changed into the Santa suit. But after that, she got tired and refused to smile. Nothing tickled her anymore. So we decided to do the naked shot with the angel's wings and halo, she stripped to her birthday suit, and she stood up and smiled for a couple of frames and suddenly, something below her caught her attention. OH NO! NAT PEEed on the backdrop and props!

Then we stopped the filming, cos Nat suddenly became a GROUCH! Oh, that clean gal, like her Mama, the Dettol supporter!

First Steps (4 teeth)

On 13th October (Hari Raya Puasa Holiday), as I was on the line with Shirley who had just confirmed her buying of the flat in the block opposite of mine, Natacia took her first two steps... Ooh, so cute! Her thunder thighs and legs moved steadily and gracefully on the bumper mat as she took two cute little steps without any support. SHE TOOK HER FIRST STEPS! That was after one night of 'training' Will put her under as he supported her while they walked from the living room to the bedroom. She loved it... her smiles were from ear to ear as she walked with her papa. Will and I were stunned as we saw her take her steps unsupported. We were dazed for a while, speechless!

Then a week later, on the 20th, Will spotted her upper left tooth. It has started to expose itself and we felt it, YES, Nat now has 4 teeth. Aiyo, she is growing fast boy!

Blood Blood!

"Dear, blood blood. She's bleeding! There's blood on Maisy!"

He panicked. I panicked.
"Where? Where?" I ran from the kitchen to my darling Nat.
"Give her some water!"

What a scare it was! Apparently, the gnawing on Maisy toy caused her gum to bleed and exposed her upper right tooth!
YES, NAT OFFICIALLY HAS THREE TEETH!
No tears, no fuss on Nat's part! The fuss came from Papa and Mama. Camera flashes flashed in front of Nat as we struggled to take a glimpse of her new tooth.

Papa was all excited. Threw her in the air, holding her by her pits and trying hard to catch a glimpse of tooth number 3. He was proud of his darling daughter and started calling both paternal and maternal grandmothers to report the discovery. They too were excited and as he was talking on the line, Nat looked like she walked a step without any support. Aiyo, she never fails to surprise us!

At that moment, our hearts were filled with warmth and joy as we looked at how our little baby has grown into a young toddler!
Thank you Lord for how healthily and beautifully Natacia has grown!
